1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Clypd.me (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Clypd.me is a URL shortener. You paste a long URL, we give you a short one that redirects to the original destination. Paid tiers ("Pro" and above) add click analytics. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. Accounts
You may use the Service without an account (anonymous use). To keep your links across devices or unlock Pro features, you create an account with an email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to shorten links that:
- Point to malware, phishing pages, or other deceptive content;
- Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- Are illegal to distribute in your jurisdiction or ours;
- Are designed to mislead recipients about the destination ("URL masking" for the purpose of fraud);
- Generate automated traffic at volumes that degrade the Service for other users.
We may suspend or remove links and accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.
5. Billing and cancellation
Paid tiers are billed in advance by Creem, either monthly or annually. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
If a payment fails, we may retry, notify you, and eventually downgrade your account to Free.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its code, design, and trademarks, is owned by us. You retain ownership of the content (URLs, custom aliases, click data) you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and redirect that content as needed to operate the Service.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or have been inactive for an extended period. We will try to give reasonable notice where possible.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that short links will resolve forever, that analytics will be 100% accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. We are not responsible for the content you shorten or for the destination sites.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice where reasonable. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring an action in your own country.
