1. What we collect
- Account data. If you create an account: your email address, and optionally a display name and phone number. We store a one-way hash of your password and never see the plaintext.
- Link data. The long URLs you shorten, the short slug we generate, any custom alias you choose, and timestamps of when each link was created.
- Click data. When someone visits one of your short links, we record: IP-derived country, the referrer, the user-agent (browser + device), and the timestamp. We do not retain raw IP addresses after the country lookup.
- Billing data. If you subscribe to a paid tier, Creem handles payment details on our behalf - we never see your card. We store your Creem customer ID and subscription status so we can grant access to paid features.
- Email data. If we email you about a failed payment, Resend processes the email. We retain message logs.
2. How we use it
- To operate the service: shorten URLs, redirect clicks, generate QR codes, display analytics.
- To manage subscriptions and send billing notices.
- To keep the service safe: detect abuse, prevent fraud, debug problems.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers. We do not run our own ad network.
3. Cookies
We set one session cookie to keep you signed in. It expires in 30 days. We do not use third-party tracking cookies - no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no advertising trackers.
4. Third-party processors
- Creem - payments.
- Resend - transactional email: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Railway - hosting: railway.com/legal/privacy.
5. Data retention
- Account data is kept while your account is active. Delete your account and we delete your account record, links, and analytics.
- Click analytics are kept as long as the link exists.
- Failed-payment email logs are kept for 30 days.
